It looks better in person. I like the way it came out. I want to keep experimenting with making backgrounds the way I did for this piece. The only problem is, I'm running out of strips in my scrap bag and I'm afraid if I tear strips from fabric just for a background, I'll try to plan it too much. Won't know till I try!
This is the second piece. I love the way the sunprinted fabric went so well with this small piece I made in Myrna Giesbrechts class at Quilt University. My art quilt group met last Friday. It was nice to visit and catch up. I finished up the binding to the birch tree piece while we chatted and planned a trip to Nashua and Lowell on November 9. I think my mind is going, there is a quilt show in Nashua that weekend and I can't remember the name of it. I will also finally get to meet Geriann who lives in Mass. She was part of our round robin book project.
